Issac & Emily

How They Met

Isaac and Emily met in the fall of 2012 while they were freshman at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. They were both in the Corps of Cadets, Texas A&M’s ROTC program, and met at their first Aggie football game. After a month of getting to know each other, Isaac asked Emily to be his girlfriend. They quickly became inseparable, spending quality time hanging out with their mutual friends, studying, and visiting Emily’s horse at the local stable. Although Emily left the Corps of Cadets after her freshman year, Isaac and Emily continued to spend the majority of their free time together. Aggie Polo Club games, club socials, and going to the movies were some of their favorite pastimes in between studying.

The Proposal

In December of 2018, Isaac and Emily travelled to Mexico as Isaac was on leave from the military and Emily was on winter break from veterinary school. While vacationing they enjoyed a horseback riding excursion through the jungle for which the halfway point was a hike to a waterfall. Once they had reached the waterfall, Isaac got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him. She said yes, shortly finding out that everyone (including other guests on the trail ride) were in on the plan. When they returned to the stable, the trail ride staff presented Emily with a bouquet of roses and gave a toast to the newly engaged couple.

The Ring

Emily's ring is a spectacular oval shaped, colorless moissanite in a nature inspired yellow gold setting. The center stone is surrounded by a diamond halo, with two round diamonds on each side, set on top of a twisted diamond band to resemble branches.

The Wedding

Isaac and Emily are enjoying a prolonged engagement as Isaac is deployed and Emily just finished her final year of veterinary school. Once reunited, they intend to start planning in full force!
